Rev. Dr. Linda Parham
Reflecting on my journey, I am reminded of the profound impact that a single voice can have. My voice is not just my own; it carries the hopes, dreams, and struggles of those I serve. Every word I speak is a testament to the resilience and strength of my community. It is through this voice that I find healing, and it is my deepest hope that it brings healing to others as well.
I believe that true healing begins with understanding and compassion. By listening deeply and speaking truthfully, we can bridge divides and foster a sense of belonging. My voice is my tool for healing, a beacon of hope, and a catalyst for change. Through faith, love, and unwavering commitment, I strive to uplift those around me and inspire them to find their own voices. Which empowers them to fall in love with themselves or causes them to fall in love with themselves.
From a young age in northern Alabama, I knew my life would follow God’s divine purpose. My soul longed for more, and that calling deepened when I moved to Massachusetts with my toddler daughter. For 30 years, my journey has been one of growth, trials, and faith. I learned that I was not exempt from pain, illness, or loss, yet God continually used my voice as a vessel of healing—for children I mentored, for families I supported, and for communities I served.
The greatest test of my faith came when I lost my beloved daughter, Tennille “T” Lashay. She was my best friend, confidant, and partner in vision. Her passing left a void beyond words, yet her spirit continues to guide me. The lessons we shared and the dreams we envisioned together live on in the work I do today.
Despite the hardships, I remain steadfast in God’s purpose for my life: to be a vessel of healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through cooking, music, and the arts, I have found ways to mend not only my own heart but also the hearts of those I am called to serve. My journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and the mission of Mending Broken Hearts.
